SetupLike all apps, TaskClone setup for Todoist uses our Quick Start setup process. This article only covers the configuration steps unique to Todoist. Steps indicated here correspond to the Quick Start article.
Before you start, open each of the following in a different tab in your preferred browser and login to your accounts:
In TaskClone, select your note-taking app (e.g. Evernote) and authorize TaskClone to connect to your account. This step is the same for all task apps. You can refer to our Quick Start article if you have questions in this step.
Step 1 of 3 - Authorize your note-taking app
Step 2 of 3 - Select Todoist and enter Todoist emailStart typing Todoist and select it when it appears in the list. You will then be prompted to enter your Todoist email. To find your Todoist email click on the "Task Actions" icon in the project to which you want to send tasks (or you Todoist inbox). Click the "Email tasks to the project" option in the menu that appears.
Enter the unique project email address that appears as the Task App Destination Email in TaskClone. Only copy the email address, do not copy the project name or brackets (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org). Click Save & Continue.
Step 3 of 3 - Register TaskClone Email with Todoist
TaskClone sends email to Todoist from your unique TaskClone Email (e.g. email@example.com). You must register this email with Todoist for Todoist to accept emails from us. At the bottom of the same popup from above, add your TaskClone Email and click the "Add Another Email" button Your TaskClone Email will be added to the list of email addresses authorized to send tasks to this project.
Confirm in TaskClone that you've completed this step and TaskClone will prompt you to clone your first tasks to gain access to more features and customization. You can refer to our Quick Start article if you have questions in this step.
