Destination Status Check

In this article

Overview

The Destination Status Check is visible at the top of Task App Settings for each destination tab.  It allows you to quickly see if your current settings will work with that destination.

If any of the items other than Evernote or OneNote have a red ✖, TaskClone will not be able to send to the destination.  You also need a green check for at least one of Evernote or OneNote.  Use this article to troubleshoot any item with a red ✖.

Note: If all items are green ✔s, TaskClone will send your tasks, but your app must receive them. Please ensure you have configured any settings needed by your specific app. If you're unsure, just drop us a line. We're happy to help.

Task App Issues

There are really only 2 issues here:

  1. The Destination Email is not stored in our database.  Just re-type your email you want us to send to and save changes.  Refresh your browser and the status should be a green ✔.
  2. Evernote note id is not stored in database.  If your destination is an Evernote note, sometimes the name of the note is visible, but the id we need to add tasks to the note is missing.  Try creating a new note with the "Create Note" link.  Save the name of the note and then save task app settings.  That should do it.

Trigger Tag Issues

This indicates whether the tag name is stored in our database.

Note: If you see this error, but you have a tag name in the Trigger tag field, please just contact us and we'll get back to your within 24 hours..

Evernote Issues

These are a 3 main issues that interrupt our connection to your Evernote account:

  1. Revoked or Expired Authorization.  The maximum time of our authorization to your Evernote account is 1 year, but you can choose as short as 1 day.  Go to the Evernote Settings tab within TaskClone Dashboard to see the status of our connection with your Evernote account and the expiration date.  If expired or revoked, simply click the Reconnect button on that tab and reauthorize us at Evernote.
  2. Rate limit error.  Evernote limits the number of times any app can access a user's account.  If you have cloned hundreds tasks in minutes or refreshed a large list of tags repeatedly, this may happen.  Wait an hour and our access is usually restored.
  3. Evernote Business Issues.  If you have connected TaskClone to Evernote Business, but no longer have access to that Evernote Business account, it may show as a Revoked or Inactive state.  Select "No" to connecting Evernote Business on TaskClone's Evernote Settings tab and save settings.

OneNote Issues

There are really only 2 plan type issues:

  1. Expired Authorization.  Initial authorization from OneNote is 6 months.  You will need to reconnect Evernote from the OneNote section of the TaskClone Dashboard.

Note: If these simple steps don't work, please just contact us and we'll get back to your within 24 hours..

Plan Type Issues

There are really only 2 plan type issues:

  1. Free plan trying to send to task app.  Our Free Plan supports sending tasks to an Evernote note, but does not support sending tasks to a task app.  You will need to change your task app to Evernote to use our Free Plan.
  2. Non-Business plan trying to use Business features.  If the tag you have stored in our database is an Evernote Business tag, but you are no longer on our Trial or Business plans, you will need to upgrade to Business or change the tag used to tag on your Evernote personal account.

Note: If these simple steps don't work, please just contact us and we'll get back to your within 24 hours..
